Introduction

Getting started, the parent dashboard, the Android apps, search and platform status for SafeCircle.

3 min read

SafeCircle is a family safety platform with three parts you use today: a parent dashboard at app.safecircle.tech, a parent app for Android and a child app for Android. Together they give parents visibility into risk signals on their child's phone. There is no iOS app yet.

Getting Started

New to SafeCircle? Start here to create your account and get the dashboard and the child app running.

Beta

SafeCircle is currently in beta. Anyone can create an account.

Dashboard

The parent dashboard runs in the browser at app.safecircle.tech. No installation required. It's where you review alerts, manage child profiles and devices, and change your account settings. Live alerts show up while it is open; for push notifications on your phone use the parent app.

Android (child app)

The child app runs in the background on Android 11 or later. It reads the text visible on screen in five supported messaging apps, analyses it on the phone and sends risk summaries to the dashboard. Nothing is shown to the child.

Parent app

The SafeCircle Parent app for Android uses the same account as the dashboard and adds push notifications for new alerts.

SafeCircle Search is a private search engine with safe search. It is a separate site and is not connected to the dashboard or the apps yet.

iOS

There is no SafeCircle app for iPhone or iPad, and no date has been announced. See iOS for what you can do today.

Canopy OS

Canopy OS is an experimental Linux distribution being built with SafeCircle protection included. It is at a very early stage and not ready for families. See Canopy OS.
