Setting up the parent dashboard

Sign in, add your first child, and generate the pairing code for their device.

The parent dashboard is at app.safecircle.tech. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install.

You need an account to get in. If you don't have one yet, start with Join the beta.

Go to app.safecircle.tech and sign in with your email and password, or with Google, Discord or Twitter / X if you created your account that way.

  • 2-step verification — if you turned it on, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Use Can't access your app? Use a backup code if you lost it.
  • Passkey — click Sign in with a passkey to use biometrics or a hardware key instead of a password.
  • Forgot your password? — click Forgot password?, enter your email and click Send reset link.

Onboarding

The first time you sign in with no children on your account, the dashboard opens a two-step setup.

Add your first child

Enter the child's name (for example, Alex) and click Continue. Click Skip for now if you would rather do this later from the Children page.

You can add as many children as you need. Each one has their own alerts, devices and photo.

Pair their device

Step 2 shows the pairing code and a numbered guide:

  1. Install the SafeCircle child app on the child's phone. See Set up the child app.
  2. Open the app and follow the pairing step.
  3. Scan the QR code, or type the 6-digit code shown under PAIRING CODE. Use Copy to copy it.

A countdown shows how long the code is valid. Click Done when the device is linked. If the code expires, click Try again for a new one.

Pairing codes are valid for 5 minutes and work once. Generating a new code invalidates any earlier unused one.

If pairing fails, check that both devices are online, the code hasn't expired and the child app is up to date. The onboarding screen has a What if pairing fails? note, and the FAQ has a full checklist.

Add another child or device later

Go to Children in the sidebar.

  • + Add child creates a new profile and generates a pairing code straight away.
  • New pairing code (or Add device on an empty child) generates a code for another device.

See Children and devices for everything else you can do there.
