Open Settings from the sidebar. It has eight tabs: General, Visual, Interface, Profile, Security, Seasonal, Accessibility and Advanced. Use the search box at the top to jump to any setting by name.

Account tabs are covered in Account and security. This page covers the rest.

General

Themes

In Settings › Visual › Themes, pick one of eight themes.

GroupThemes
Bright — for daylightLight, Ink, Rosé Pine Dawn
Moody — for low lightAsh, Dark, Void, Rosé Pine, Kanagawa Dragon

To switch automatically, turn on Match system settings. Then choose a Day theme (used when your system is in light mode) and a Night theme (used in dark mode).

Under the themes you can also adjust:

  • Enable solarium glass effects — a frosted, see-through look on menus, dialogs and panels.
  • Noise overlay opacity — a subtle grain over solid backgrounds.
  • Card background vibrancy — how much colour the cards carry.

Rosé Pine, Rosé Pine Dawn and Kanagawa Dragon define their own colours, so the accent controls aren't available while one of them is selected.

Colours

In Settings › Visual › Colours, choose where the accent colour comes from:

  • Default — follows the season.
  • Avatar — takes its colour from your profile photo.
  • Preset — pick from Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime, Green, Aqua, Blue, Purple, Pink or Grey.
  • Custom — set Accent colour, Vibrancy and Lightness with sliders, or paste a hex colour (for example #6bc6f1) and click Convert.

Fonts

In Settings › Visual › Fonts:

  • Interface font — Stylised (Hanken Grotesk), Simple (Funnel Sans), Accessible (Atkinson Hyperlegible Next) or Provide your own font, where you type the name of a font installed on your device.
  • Use old-fashioned Serif font for some headings — an italic serif on hero and section titles.
  • Font weight, Medium font weight and Bold font weight — sliders for regular text, buttons and large headers.

Avatars and cards

In Settings › Visual › Avatars & cards:

  • Reflect colour below cards and avatars — a glow under cards based on your accent.
  • Profile avatar shape — Circular, Rounded or Square. This only changes what you see.

Interface

In Settings › Interface:

  • Time format — match your language, 12-hour or 24-hour.
  • Show relative times — "3 minutes ago" instead of exact dates. Hover for the full date.
  • Compact mode — tighter rows and spacing.
  • Start page — the page the dashboard opens on.
  • Overview carousel — Automatic, Recent alerts or Children.
  • Show alert toasts — pop up a notification the moment a new alert arrives.

Seasonal theming

In Settings › Seasonal, Automatically adapt to seasonal events adapts the default colour and shows particles depending on the time of year, such as cobwebs at Halloween and falling snow in winter. A timeline shows the current and next season.

  • Show particles during select seasons — Full, Less or None.
  • Reduce quality of particles — drops the glow to ease the load on slower devices.
  • Display additional seasonal effects — cobwebs, frost and other decorations on cards, including the hand-drawn corners during Halloween.

Turn the main switch off to disable all of it.

Accessibility

In Settings › Accessibility:

  • Reduce motion in animations — softens animations and hover effects. SafeCircle also follows your system's reduced-motion preference. Seasonal particles stay still while it's on.
  • Show page scrollbar — scrollbars are hidden by default.
  • Always underline links — forces buttons, links and other interactive elements to show an underline.

Also consider the Accessible interface font under Fonts.

Import, export and reset

The side menu of Settings has three actions:

  • Export — copy your settings as text, to restore on another device or browser.
  • Import — paste previously exported text. This replaces your current settings, so only paste text you trust.
  • Reset — return everything to default. Use Make a backup first if you want to keep your current settings.

Advanced

Settings › Advanced is for troubleshooting. Leave it alone if you're not sure what an option does.

  • Developer mode — shows debug details and internal setting IDs.
  • Reset dismissed tips — shows the welcome notice and other one-time tips again.
  • Clear cached data — removes downloaded app files. Your settings and account stay as they are.
  • Copy diagnostics — copies the version, build, browser and changed settings, ready to paste into a bug report.
